# agents.md — AgentReady

This is AgentReady's own agents.md, and a reference example you can copy. Serve your
version at https://yourdomain.com/agents.md as text/markdown or text/plain.

## About this site

AgentReady makes existing websites readable and actionable for AI agents. It crawls a
site, scores its agent readiness, and generates llms.txt, agents.md, agent.json and
JSON-LD suggestions backed by evidence from the live pages.

## How agents should use this site

- Start from `/llms.txt` for a map of the site, then follow the linked pages.
- `/install` explains where each generated file belongs and how to allow AI crawlers.
- `/methodology` is the authoritative description of every readiness check and weight.
- Treat `/pricing` as the single source of truth for plan limits and currency (USD).

## Allowed

- Reading and summarising any public marketing, docs, pricing or legal page.
- Quoting the scoring methodology with attribution to AgentReady.
- Running one public scan per URL from the home page without an account.

## Not allowed

- Automated account creation, checkout, or subscription changes.
- Submitting support tickets or refund requests on a person's behalf without their
  explicit confirmation of the text being sent.
- Bulk scanning of URLs the user does not own, or scraping dashboard routes behind login.

## Rate limits

- Please stay under 1 request per second and identify yourself with a real user agent.
- Analyses are limited per account: 3 lifetime trial analyses on Free, 30 per month on Pro.
